Contributions for future Greek-o-File books
New volumes will continue to be compiled from reader contributions, personal research and experiences.  If you would like to share your experiences and views with like minded people, read our books, see what has been published before (to understand the style and length of acceptable articles and ensure you are not revisiting old ground), email as plain text (or a text only Word document) with any illustrations (photos or sketches) in separate small .jpg files (or post 2-3 appropriate clear illustrations - we can scan & return them to you, with handwritten or typed article only if you do not have the means to email text). Length 400 - 1500 words depending on subject.  You can contact Greek-o-File first with your ideas to ensure they are appropriate or not previously covered.

General anecdotes can be set in any part of Greece or on any aspect of Greek life.  See our books for samples of Greek Life articles from traditions and natural history to observations of Greek life.

For travel pieces, if you write about an area not yet covered in previous editions you have more chance of being included.  More detailed profiles, historical background and travel experiences are not yet planned or published in The Greek-o-Files for the following Islands:-  Anafi, Astypalaia, Ag. Efstratios, Ekinades, Elafonisos, Evia (Euboea), Folegandros, Gyaros, Kassos, Lemnos, Makronisos, Oinousses, Psara, Salamis, Samothrace, Sfaktiria, Skiathos, Skiros, Spetsai, or Mainland areas:- Athens & Attica, Thessaly (exc. Pelion & Meteora), SW, Macedonia (exc. Halkidiki), Thrace.   Have you been there?  Can you tell our readers which parts would be particularly enjoyable for fellow Grecophiles, or write about your own experiences and why you like your special place?

We are especially interested in short stories  for our ‘and finally ’ spot.  Have you written a short story set in Greece or about Greece, or do you have any amusing Greek Language anecdotes, or researched History, Mythology, Food or Drink articles, Recipes, reviews of Events, Book or Music recommendations?

As an independent not-for-profit business Greek-o-File regret they are unable to pay for contributions other than with a free copy of the book for any article published of over 1 page length.  We operate more as a club for like-minded people on a ‘not for profit’ basis (a UK minimum wage would be nice!).  Most writers are happy to share their Greek experiences with fellow Grecophiles, as we are to share our love of Greece with you all.
