Thassos - Walking in a Wooded Wonderland
This is a great walkers’ island. ... The mountain villages are all so different. Theologos warranted 2 visits, one to walk round the village and the 2nd to walk up into the hills.
What do our readers think of Greek-o-File? Extracts from a few letters:
“I love it, can’t wait for the next issue” - R. Smith, Surrey
“A friend in Karpathos once told me that visitors are always welcome as long as they travel with respect, and indeed this was my first impression of Greek-o-File as I devoured every page. My wife and I both agree, your publication is as refreshing as that first glass of retsina you savour when you land” - Tony Brown, Cornwall
“I enjoyed my first issue of Greek-o-File. Inspired by a reader’s account of their experiences in Greece, I have enclosed my own from last year.” - R Archibald, Derbyshire.
“Many thanks for Greek-o-File, I was taken there from the first moments of reading it.” – G E J Bunn, Norfolk.
“I am enjoying Greek-o-File as it includes very useful information for those who wish to visit Greece, but also it offers such a nice and refreshing view of today’s Greece! The views expressed, without losing their objectiveness, are based on so friendly and loving sentiments about my country and my compatriots that really touch me. In this respect your magazine follows a very old tradition of the sensitive British citizens towards my fatherland” – Pavlos Pezaros, Greek author of poem published in Greek-o-File.
“Dear Sylvia & Terry, Please excuse me being so familiar, but after reading my Introductory Issue of Greek-o-File I feel I know you. I am absolutely delighted with it and cannot wait to receive the 6 back issues.” – Christine Etheridge, Notts.

Mediterranean Monk Seals (2002/2)
You are unlikely to see a Mediterranean Monk Seal in Greek waters... As its name implies, it wants to be left alone. ... The most recent estimate is just 250-300 seals in Greece.
Beers in Greece The best news of all - Fix is back! ... It is good to see that not only do we now have real Greek beer, but there is a choice to suit all tastes - Alfa, Fix, Mythos, Pils Hellas...
The June 2002 Issue was the last quarterly issue.
8 Greek-o-File volumes were then published in paperback format 2002 to 2010
